    La práctica del deporte es tan antigua como las primeras civilizaciones del planeta, y desde entonces ha supuesto un espectáculo clave para el entretenimiento de la sociedad.

    Sin embargo, durante estas últimas décadas el espectáculo deportivo ha devenido en un negocio que mueve cifras impensadas años atrás. Entre estos deportes convertidos en negocio, el emblema principal es el fútbol.

    El objetivo de este artículo es descifrar la lógica financiera del fútbol, estudiando cuáles son los eventos que impactan directamente en el valor de los clubes, pasando primero por una reseña histórica para entender el origen del lucro en el fútbol, y siguiendo con un análisis de la situación actual del negocio, para terminar con la presentación del trabajo en sí mismo.

    The practice of sports is as old as the first civilisations on the planet, and ever since it has been a vital phenomenon for the entertainment of society. However, over the last few decades, sporting events have become a business able to move figures that were unthinkable years ago. Among these sports turned into business, football is the most illustrative one.

    The aim of this article is to unravel the financial sense of football by studying the events that have a direct impact on the stock price of the clubs. It starts with a historical review to understand the origin of profit in football followed by the analysis of the current business situation, to finish presenting the research conducted on the subject.
