En este artículo vamos a analizar los aspectos de la vida del gran monarca nazarí, el séptimo rey Yūsuf I. Empezamos por hablar de una perspectiva general de su linaje y nacimiento, pasamos a las partes culturales, científicas y políticas, y damos también la luz a los grandes logros de este sultán nazarí de Granada, como la gran madraza Yūsufiyya en la capital del reino o, mejor dicho, la que podríamos llamar primera Universidad de Granada. También hay que mencionar su relaciones exteriores con otros monarcas, hasta que llegamos a su final, verdaderamente trágico. Finalmente, trataremos de establcer una biografia general de Yūsuf I, así como aparece en el Iḥᾱṭa y como lo ve el «Ciceron granadino», Ibn al-Jaṭīb.

In this article we will analyze aspects of life of the great Nasrid monarch, the seventh king Yūsuf I . We start from the principle of an overview of their lineage and birth, we turn to the cultural, scientific and political parties, and give light to the great achievements of the Nasrid sultan of Granada, as the great Madrasa Yūsufiyya in Granada or rather the university of Granada . We must also mention its external relations with other monarchs, until we come to an end or rather the tragedy of the sultan. Finally say: a general biography Yūsuf I also appears in the Iḥᾱṭa and as seen by the Cicero Granada Ibn al-Jaṭīb.
