    En esta contribución presentamos un panorama de las traducciones al castellano de obras escritas originariamente en una lengua peninsular durante el siglo XVI. Tomamos el catalán y el portugués como lenguas de partida y el castellano como lengua de llegada, además de las combinaciones que puedan establecerse entre ellas. Para contextualizar nuestro objeto de estudio, dedicamos un apartado a las «traducciones intrapeninsulares» en la Edad Media, que completamos con lo ocurrido en la transición de los siglos XV a XVI, para finalmente detenernos en la traducción a partir de lenguas peninsulares en el siglo XVI, un siglo en que el castellano ocupa el centro del polisistema peninsular.

    In this paper we present an overview of the translations into Spanish of works originally written in the 16th century in another language of the Iberian Peninsula. We focus on Catalan and Portuguese as the source languages and Castilian Spanish as the target language, as well as any combinations between these. In order to provide a context for our study, on section is devoted to “intra-peninsular translations” in the Middle Ages, which we complete by addressing what occurred during the transition between the 15th and 16th centuries, and ending with translations from intra-peninsular languages in the 16th century, by which time Castilian Spanish occupied the central position in the peninsular polysystem.
