Resumen de “Vecinos”: Proceso, condena y muerte de Timoteo Mendieta Alcalá

El objetivo de esta investigación es el estudio del consejo de guerra contra Timoteo Mendieta Alcalá, secretario general de Unión General de Trabajadores (UGT) de Sacedón (Guadalajara) e integrante del comité de organizaciones del Frente Popular (FP), responsable de la represión que tuvo lugar en esta villa durante la Guerra Civil. La hipótesis sobre la que se ha articulado es la existencia de una relación directa entre su participación en la dinámica represiva revolucionaria y su posterior condena a muerte, existiendo un protagonismo fundamental de los vecinos de la villa en ambos procesos. The objective of this research is the study of the military court of Timoteo Mendieta Acalá, secretary-general of the General Union of Workers (UGT) of Sacedón (Guadalajara) and member of the committee of organizations of the Popular Front (FP), responsible for the repression that took place in this town during the Civil War. The hypothesis on which it is articulated is the existence of a direct relationship between their participation in the revolutionary repressive dynamics and their subsequent death sentence, with a fundamental role being played by the villagers in both processes. To develop and demonstrate it, we have used a set of sources, where the documentation of the General Cause and the war council initiated against Mendieta stand out.
