Resumen de La catedral en su ciudad: tres prelados para tres hitos de la historia de Córdoba (ss. XVI-XVIII)

Este trabajo pretende analizar la presencia de la catedral cordobesa en la ciudad a través de tres prelados en tres procesos muy significativos de la historia y evolución de la urbe, como fueron la fundación del seminario a fines del siglo XVI, la crisis de 1652, y la guerra de Sucesión y la creación del hospital general a comienzos del siglo XVIII. Del Quinientos, pues, al Setecientos; y principalmente con fuentes primarias, entre las que destacan los episcopologios y la documentación archivística municipal y notarial, pero también las secundarias de viajeros y eruditos, y obviamente la bibliografía especializada, se trata de patentizar el impacto de la catedral cordobesa a través de quien la dirige, administra y gobierna, en su ámbito, en y ante la su ciudad; pues, como reza la indicación de esta sección, una catedral es mucho más que un edificio, es vida y resonancia de vida en su contexto. De ahí que plantearse su acción y presencia en éste, permite establecer cuál fue el papel del primer templo de la ciudad, si de colaboración, freno o impulso, ante determinados procesos de la vida colectiva, meta justamente de esta aportación.

In this paper aims to analyze the presence of the Cordova cathedral in the city through three prelates in three very significant processes of the history and evolution of the city, such as the creation of the seminary at the end of the 16th century, the crisis of 1652, and the War of Succession and the creation of the general hospital at the beginning of the 18th century. From the Five Hundred, then, to the Seven Hundred; and mainly with primary sources, among which the episcopologies and the municipal and notarial archival documentation stand out, but also the secondary ones of travelers and scholars, and obviously the specialized bibliography, is about patenting the impact of the Cordova cathedral through whom the directs, administers and governs, in its scope, in and before the city; well, as the indication in this section says, a cathedral is much more than a building, it is life and resonance of life in context. Hence, considering its action and presence in it, it allows to establish what was the role of the first temple of the city, if of collaboration, brake or impulse, before certain processes of collective life, precisely the goal of this contribution.
