    La milicia de Misrata es uno de los principales actores armados surgidos de las revueltas en Libia en 2011. Constituye la principal estructura militar del bloque islamista conocido como Operación Amanecer Libio que mantiene su sede en Trípoli. Desde 2012 ha estado enfrentada a la milicia de Zintán, la herramienta militar junto con las fuerzas del General Khalifa Belgacem Haftar del Gobierno surgido de las elecciones de junio de 2014 e internacionalmente reconocido. Además, la milicia de Misrata lucha hoy contra los terroristas del EI/DAESH que extienden su presencia en Libia.

    The militia of Misrata is one of the most important armed actors that emerged from the Revolts in Libya in the year 2011. This militia is the central military instrument of the Fajr Libya or Dawn Libya, an Islamistdominated coalition based in Tripoli. Since 2012 it has been battling against the militia of Zintan, the military supporter together with the forces of General Khalifa Belgacem Haftar, of the internationally recognized government released of the June 2014 general elections. In addition, the militia of Misrata is battling today the IS/DAESH terrorists’ spread in Libya.
