Resumen de El concepto de la peregrinación literaria. Sobre la soberanía de la narración en el «Persiles»

Este artículo defiende la tesis de que la instancia narrativa del Persiles se caracteriza por una soberanía comparable a la del Quijote. Aunque la última novela de Cervantes no contiene una poética que reflexiona la teoría de la prosa novelesca, el narrador del Persiles, que representa un complejo narratológico más homogéneo que la figura irónica de Cide Hamete Benengeli, ejecuta un poder casi absoluto sobre la filosofía de la «historia» y el destino de sus protagonistas. La perspectiva mundana sobre la teología de la peregrinación del hombre en la tierra destaca una filosofía humanista e inmanente y demuestra el valor de una (proto-)etnografía comparada de lo ajeno.

This article proposes that the omniscient narrator of the Persiles is characterized by a sovereign power comparable to the narrator of the Quijote. De-spite the fact that Cervantes’ last novel does not contain any reflexive theory on the poetics of fictional prose, the narrator of the Persiles, which presents itself more coherent than the ironic figure of Cide Hamete Benengeli, executes an almost ab-solute authority over the “historia” and the destiny of its protagonists. The mun-dane perspective of the theological topic of terrestrial peregrination distinguishes a humanist and immanent philosophy and gives evidence of the ethical value of a (proto)ethnography of otherness.
