    Mauritania sufre de importantes rémoras en términos de seguridad desde su independencia en 1960. Estos se han visto agravados en los últimos años por otras sobrevenidas, en particular por el terrorismo yihadista. Este terrorismo, que se une al efecto nefasto de los tráficos ilícitos, hace de Mauritania un Estado vulnerable que requiere de redoblados esfuerzos para garantizar su seguridad

    Mauritania is suffering the impact of relevant security threats since its independence in 1960. The situation has been aggravated in recent years due to the emergence of the Jihadist terrorism. This terrorism, together with the effects of illicit trafficking in the area, makes Mauritania a weak state that is demanding additional efforts for reinforcing its security.
