Resumen de Proyectismo y realidad en la Extremadura de la Ilustración

Este trabajo propone analizar el problema del proyectismo y la realidad en la Extremadura de la Ilustración. Ese espíritu del siglo, el sentim iento de nación, y el examen de la realidad, previa información y conocimiento, significaron la elaboración de proyectos de reformas y actitudes innovadoras de los ilustrados. Varios autores, tratadistas, escritores, doctrinarios, colaboradores de los mona rcas tuvieron ese denominador común del afán de reformas, un debate entre la continuidad y la tradición, o los cambios a una nueva situación. Vinculados a la letra y práctica de estos proyecto s y, también, a su encrucijada, idea y realidad, surgen en la Ex tremadura de finales de los tiempos modernos ciertas propuestas para encontrar la felicidad del súbdito y el bienestar de la monarquía.

The aim of this essay is to analyze the p rojectism issue and the reality in the Extremadura of the Enlightenment. The spirit of the century, the sense of nationhood and the examination of the reality, prior information and knowledge, meant the development of reform projects and innovative attitud es from the intellectuals. Several authors, writers, doctrinaires and monarchs’ collaborators were united through the common denominator of the quest of reforms, a debate between con tinuity and tradition or changes to a new situation. Associated with the t heory and practice of these projects and also with its crossroad, idea and reality, different proposals to find the subject’s happiness and the monarchy’s welfare arise in Extremadur a in the late modern times.
