    El desarrollo de la burocracia está unido al de las ciudades. A ella pertenecen los funcionarios y entre ellos figuran tanto los de la administración real como de la diocesana.

    Esta comunicación pone de manifiesto la importancia de su existencia en el desarrollo de la nueva población de Algeciras, que nace a principios del siglo XVIII. Quiénes eran y cómo se trasmitían, en muchos casos sus oficios mediante su compra-venta, es el eje de esta comunicación.

    La información para llevarla a cabo proviene básicamente del Archivo Histórico de Protocolos Notariales de Algeciras (AHPNA). El análisis de esta información nos ha permitido conocer quiénes fueron estos funcionarios y cómo llegaron a ocupar estos oficios

    The development of the bureaucracy is joined to the development of the cities. The civil servants and the church servants belong to the local bureaucracy. The study of these offices it is de axe of this communication centred in the new city of Algeciras, that is born at the beginning of the 18th century.

    This communication reveals the importance of its existence in the development of the city, which were possessing these functions and how given on these offices to the others professionals, in many cases by buying and selling, etc.… This information it comes basically from the Archivo Histório de Protocolos Notariales from Algeciras (AHPNA).

    The analysis of this information it has allowed to know who these were clerical and civil servants and partly, it has allowed knowing how these types of servants managed to occupy these offices.
