El presente trabajo se limita a dar a conocer a los investigadores la existencia de una de las partes manuscritas que se conservan inéditas de la obra de Pedro Cubero Sebastián, misionero apostólico y viajero (1645- 1700), sobre su viaje alrededor del mundo en la segunda mitad del siglo XVII. Diversas ediciones de su obra no reflejan la extensa descripción que hace de Gibraltar, Esta descripción inédita que hoy presentamos aparece incluida en uno de sus manuscritos y estaba destinada a otorgar información al rey hispano y al Consejo Real, sobre esta estratégica villa poco antes de su conquista por los ingleses.

Pedro Cubero Sebastian´s unpublished description of Gibraltar (lateeventeenthcentury) in the library of the Royal Palace of Madrid.
This work just intends to show to the researchers the existence of one of the handwritten parts that remain of the unpublished work of Pedro Cubero Sebastian, apostolic missionary and traveler (1645- 1700), on his trip around the world in the second half of the seventeenth century. Various editions of his work does not reflect the extensive description that he makes about Gibraltar. This unpublished description presented today appears included in one of his manuscripts and was intended to provide information to the Spanish king and the Royal Council on this strategic town shortly before its conquest by the English.
