Nuestro estudio analiza la familia de los Cortés y su dominio señorial en Torresecas, una pardina cercana a la ciudad de Huesca. Desde dicha atalaya, en los siglos XVI y XVII, los miembros de la citada estirpe lograron un significativo ascenso social, culminado con el favor regio de ser nombrados como condes. A la vez, algunos de sus miembros también se vieron agraciados con prelaturas.

Our study analyzes the family of the Cortés and their manorial domain in Torresecas, a pardina near the city of Huesca. From that watchtower, in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, the members of the aforementioned lineage achieved a significant social rise, culminated with the regal favor of being named as counts. At the same time, some of its members were also graced with prelature.
