Resumen de El proceso de elaboración de la Matrícula de franceses residentes en la costa catalana de 1637

  Esta comunicación pretende analizar el procedimiento que se siguió para confeccionar la Matrícula de franceses de 1637 y las dificultades que tuvo que sortear. Para alcanzar este propósito será objeto de consulta la documentación generada por el Consejo de Aragón y los libros parroquiales de las localidades donde se realizó la Matrícula. Todo ello nos ha de permitir, por un lado, ilustrar la reacción que tuvo la Monarquía Hispánica y las instituciones catalanas ante la elaboración de esta nómina y, por otro lado, valorar hasta qué punto este censo logró reunir a todos los franceses establecidos en el litoral catalán.

  This paper analyse the procedure that was followed to prepare the French registration of 1637 and the difficulties it had to overcome. To achieve this purpose, the documentation generated by the Council of Aragon and the parish books of the places where the registration was made will be subject to consultation. All this will allow us, on the one hand, to illustrate the reaction that the Spanish Monarchy and the Catalan institutions had before the preparation of this payroll and, on the other hand, to assess to what extent this census managed to gather all the French people established in the Catalan coast.
