    Krestchmer distingue los siguientes tipos constitucionales o biotipos: tipo leptosomático, o asténico con predominio de la talla sobre el peso, estos individuos son psicológicamente esquizotímicos, sensibles, introvertidos, ordenados, y rígidos destacando los siguientes personajes históricos: Kant, Spinoza, Hölderlin, Novalis, Federico II de Prusia, Schiller, San Ignacio de Loyola, Robespierre, Tasso, Cisneros, Schuman, El Greco, Pío XII, Paulo VI, Calvino, Pascal, Savonarola, el cardenal Richelieu, Felipe II, etc. El tipo pícnico se caracteriza por el predominio del peso sobre la talla y el predominio de los diámetros transversal y antero-posterior, sobre las medidas de longitud, desde el punto de vista piclógico son ciclotímicos, o sea exageradamente alegres o tristes, activos comunicativos, realistas, humorísticos, intuitivos y flexibles, destacan los siguientes ciclotímicos: Goethe, Goya, Mirabeau, Linneo, Lutero, Godoy, El General Primo de Rivera, el Conde-Duque de Olivares, Zorrilla, Campoamor, Juan XXIII, Darwin, Pasteur, Balzac, etc.
