    El artículo estudia los medios materiales con los q ue se dotó el Consulado de San Sebastián a lo largo de su historia, es decir, los edificios y dep endencias que construyó y gestionó la institución, así como las noticias que tenemos sobre la gestión de l os mismos y los pertrechos con los que se dotaron. Se presta especial atención a la sede prin cipal del Consulado, el archivo consular, la Casa- Torre del puerto, la cárcel y la linterna de Igeldo .
