Resumen de Nuevos paradigmas críticos para abordar la teatralidad en el cine de Pedro Almodóvar

La teatralidad en el cine es un concepto de difícil y controvertida definición que encuentra en la filmografía de Pedro Almodóvar un excelente campo de trabajo. En este artículo abordamos, desde el marco de la Teoría de los Polisistemas, esta teatralidad como consecuencia de la utilización activa del repertorio cultural en España entre los años cincuenta y noventa. Resultan así muy reveladoras las normas de intermediación empleadas por parte del director español, quien ha optado por emplear elementos de este polisistema que ostentan un notable artificio – especialmente de las artes escénicas y mediante recursos como la metalepsis, la mise en abyme o la metaficción-, rompiendo así con el efecto de verosimilitud rector en el modelo del cine clásico o modo de representación institucional.
Se acerca de esta manera, al evidenciar los mecanismos de construcción, al teatro como lenguaje creador, como puede vislumbrarse en numerosas secuencias de su cinematografía que enlazan con la idea de theatrum mundi.

Theatricality in cinema is a difficult and complicated definition that is applicable to the cinema by Pedro Almodóvar. In this article, and from the Polysystems Theory's point of view, we deal with the notion of theatricality as result of the active use of the cultural repertoire in Spain among the fifties and the nineties. We find it very clear how the Spanish filmmaker has used some certain intermediation norms in an evident way. He has used elements of this Spanish polysystem with a significant artifice -especially from the performing arts and through techniques as metalepsis, mise en abyme or metafiction-. Thus, he has broken up with the verisimilitude of the classical cinema or the Intitutional Representation Mode. He approaches in this way to the theatre as creative language, how we can see in numerous sequences of his filmography that are linked also to the notion of theatrum mundi.
