Resumen de De ser humanos a hacernos humanos: en torno al concepto de humanización del Derecho

El objetivo de este artículo es trazar un panorama del concepto de humanidad, especialmente en lo que se refiere a su proyección en el Derecho. Veremos cómo dicha noción se ha ido definiendo a caballo entre lo racional y lo sentimental y cómo ha crecido vinculada conceptualmente a la educación moral. Una vez constatado el gran papel que ha desempeñado para la humanización del Derecho en el tránsito a la modernidad, veremos la posible relevancia que hoy pueda seguir teniendo, particularmente en lo que afecta a la fundamentación de los derechos humanos.

The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the concept of humanity, especially in regard to its projection in the law. We’ll see how this notion has been defined somewhere between the rational and the sentimental and how it has grown conceptually related to moral education. Once confirmed the im-portant role it has played in the humanization of law in the transition to modernity, we see the possible relevance today can continue to have, particularly as it affects the foundations of human rights
