    L’approche socio-géographique des migrations récentes entre le Maroc et l’Andalousie à partir de deux observatoires coordonnés, chacun placé à un bout du champ socio-spatial que ce phénomène embrasse, constitue en soi un défi heuristique, dans la mesure où il permet de confronter les perspectives et de les compléter. C’est le type de démarche tenté par une recherche hispano-marocaine qui, en conjuguant les outils quantitatifs et qualitatifs, compte comme caractéristiques principales, outre sa « perspective transnationale », l’attention qu’elle affiche des deux côtés aux variations spatiales du phénomène et de ses cadres sociaux, ainsi qu’à ses dynamiques. Le pari méthodologique de la recherche est présenté. Les dossiers particuliers qui sont ensuite abordés concernent ici la géographie des origines et des destinations des immigrés, leurs profils socio-démographiques et certains aspects de l’expérience migratoire.

    The use of the socio-geographic approach to study recent migration between Morocco and Andalusia, which is based on two parallel observation points located on either end of the social space that this phenomenon comprises, constitutes, in itself, a major heuristic challenge, in the sense that it may confound and complement different perspectives. This approach is used by a Spanish-Moroccan study which, by combining quantitative and qualitative methods, as well as its “trans-national perspective”, is characterised by not only the different social contexts, but also by the attention it gives to both sides of the spatial variations and dynamics of this phenomenon. The methodological research challenges are presented. Specific themes which will be addressed include the geography of the migrants’ origins and destinations, their socio-demographic background and certain dimensions of their migration experiences.
