  En los primeros años del franquismo, desde las instituciones y la literatura artística se fomentó la unidad entre :as artes, en el marco del concepto del arte al servicio del Estado: La unidad de estilo en la creación; Unidad de estilo, fundado en la 'tradición' y en otros regímenes totalitarios, cuya plasmación fueron los rituales y su simbología para colaborar en el proceso de ideologización. Unidad como orden y disciplina que se aplica y demanda a las instituciones artísticas, únicos vehículos de participación. La confluencia de las finalidades de las artes sirve de referente para su jerarquización teórica.

  In the early years of the Franco regime, the concept of the unity of the arts was promoted by official institutions and `official' artists as a contribution to the concept of art at the service of the state. Stylistic unity, based on 'tradition' and on the art works produced in other totalitarian regimes, was encouraged, and resulted in the use of rituals and symbols which contributed to the process of ideological indoctrination. Unity as order and discipline to be applied in, and demanded of, artistic institutions, which in turra were the only means of participating in the production of works of art. The confluence of the aims of the different art forms also served to facilitate theoretical classification.
