    En este trabajo estudiamos las acusaciones de delincuencia contra los moriscos, analizando sus causas. La principal radica en la fuga, pues el alzado necesita robar alimentos y la barca que le posibilite el retorno a Berbería. También tratamos las medidas represivas que se aplican a sus delitos. Por último, estudiamos los casos de dos aldeas moriscas de Fuerteventura, El Viso y La Herradura, cuyos habitantes serán acusados de distintos delitos.

    In this paper we consider the accusations of delinquencylevelled against moors and the so-called moriscos, analyzing the causes of such allegations.

    The main reason for such behaviour involves these people´s fugitive condition and the inherent need to steal food and secure boats that that would allow them to return to their Barbary homeland. We also study the represive measures taken in the case of these crimes. Finally, we focus our attention on two Moorish villages on the island of Fuerteventura, El Viso and La Herradura, whose inhabitans were accused of different crimes against the faith and public order.
