    En este breve artículo el autor sólo aspira a resumir, siquiera sea brevemente, los criterios que sirvieron de inspiración metodológica a Eusebio para confeccionar el amplio catálogo de topómicos de su Onomastikon. La estructura y metodología empleada para presentar los datos es muy variada, oscilando desde el más austero laconismo a la más generosa de las informaciones. Eusebio hace desfilar ante nuestros ojos personajes, hechos históricos, múltiples referencias a las tribus de Israel, nombres de santuarios, informaciones sobre la geografía y política de su época y un sinfín de datos que proporcionan un cabal conocimiento de la geografía de la Palestina bíblica.

    In this paper the author seeks only to summarize briefly the criteria that provided Eusebius with methodological inspiration for the preparation of the extensive catalogue of placenames in his Onomastikon. The structure and methodology used to present the information is quite varied, ranging from the most austere laconism to the provision of extremely detailed information. Eusebius shows us prominent figures, historical facts, multiple references to the tribes of Israel, names of sanctuaries, information about the geography and politics of his time and an almost limitless range of data that provides us with an exhaustive account of the geography of Biblical Palestine.
