Tras realizar un repaso convencional de la secuencis material basíndonos en el estudio vertical de yacimientos costeros, pecios y cartas arqueológicas del Mediterráneo durante los siglos y-ev sC, este trabajo trata de presentar un modelo alternativo de estudio. Éste pretende la consideración de estos datos a un nivel horizontal con el fin de avanzar en la caracterización de las distintas lineas del tráfico marítimo en estos sños, especialmente su intensidad y frecuencia, así como la distinta evolución del Mediterráneo occidental y oriental y la participación porcentual de cada poós en los fletes comerciales identificados.

After a standard review of the material sequence and upon a vertical study of some coastal fields, shipwrecks and archaeological charts in the Mediterranean Sea from the 5th to the 4th centuries b.C, this work tries to develop an alternative pattern of study. It pretends the valuation of theses facts from an horizontal point of view with the aim of progressing in the make-up of the different maritime traffic lines in these years, specially their strength, and frequency, beside its evolution in the West and East Mediterranean Sea and the percentage participation of each polis in the trade charters which we have identified.
