Abstract
La investigación que a continuación se presenta, es el resultado de haber evaluado varios años de planeación, una década de acciones y eventos que permitieron la implementación de la Cultura de la Información (CI) en CETYS Universidad, institución educativa de índole privada, y sin fines de lucro en Baja California, México. Enarbolar el concepto de CI, colocó a la institución como pionera en este concepto, por lo que resultó de gran interés su estudio. En este trabajo recepcional se reúnen datos e información inédita, generalmente reservada a la institución y basada en reportes internos, que solo están a la vista de acreditadoras nacionales e internacionales; la evaluación holística y general del proceso, se hizo posible por la participación de quien suscribe que, junto a otros actores a lo largo de los diez años señalados, fueron generando datos y resultados que aquí son analizados. El objetivo de esta recopilación y evaluación de eventos fue, por lo tanto, analizar los procesos como uno solo, y determinar qué acciones y procedimientos fueron los de mayor éxito, que podrían servir para darle continuidad a los nuevos proyectos institucionales en esta materia, además de compartir la experiencia a otras instituciones educativas, que igual a CETYS Universidad, forman recursos humanos capaces de enfrentar con éxito los retos informacionales que el mundo globalizado les depara...
This work thesis is the result of several years of planning, and a decade of challenges, executing actions, monitoring and generating measurement of the Information Culture (IC) at CETYS University, a private educational institution located in Baja California, Mexico. Hoisting the concept of IC, placed the institution as a pioneer in this matter. As part of this research, unpublished data and information were collected, generally reserved for the institution and based on internal reports, which are only available to national and international accrediting agencies; to the analysis of this information is added the participation of those who write who, along with other actors throughout these ten years, were participating, generating data and results that are collected here for a holistic and general evaluation of the process. Therefore, the objective of this collection and evaluation of events, actions and results, is to contemplate the entire process as one, analyze it and determine which of its actions and processes were successful and consequently generate the orderly and systematic documentation that allows improvement, and that can ultimately help continue the new institutional projects in this matter, in addition, of course, share experiences with other educational institutions, which, like CETYS University, seek to train human resources capable of successfully facing the informational challenges that the globalized world has in store for them...
