    LA CALIDAD DE UN PRODUCTO O SERVICIO DEPORTIVO ESTÁ DIRECTAMENTE CONDICIONADA por el diseño y materiales de los mismos en la medida en que determinan su seguridad, funcionalidad, confort y adecuación al usuario. Aunque existen normas técnicas aplicables a algunos materiales y equipamientos deportivos, hacen referencia sólo a la seguridad de deportistas y usuarios, y además, la extensión del uso para el que se conciben estos productos así como la aparición de nuevos equipamientos no normalizados exige la aplicación de otras fórmulas que garanticen su uso y la seguridad de quienes lo utilizan.

    The quality of a product or sport service is directly conditioned by both the design and materials because it determines the safety, functionality, comfort and adequacy to the user. Although there are standards of application to materials and sport equipment these standards only make reference to those aspects related to safety of sportsmen and users, and besides, both the extension of the use for which equipment is considered and the appearance of new not normalized equipment requires the application of other formulas that guarantee the use and the safety of those who use it.
