  • In this article we want to consider the conceptualization (or conceptualizations) of legal translation by translators or traductologists and to focus on the relationship between theory and professional practice, between theoretical and didactic conceptualization in legal translation lectures. To get it, we want to focus on the French-Spanish/Spanish-French linguistic combination and on the peculiarities of the professional practice of legal, sworn and judicial translation within these languages. This piece of work presented here is the result of several research projects and it is inspired on other previous publications written by the author about several aspects of law, sworn and judicial translation (Ortega: 2005, 2008, 2009a, 2009b, 2009c).
