Etnobotànica alacantina a la poesia llatina de Josep Gosalbes de Cunedo (s. XVI)

Abstract

En aquest article s’estudia la fitonímia inclosa en l'obra lírica en llatí de Josep Gosalbes de Cunedo. L’anàlisi lingüística dels noms de plantes inclosos en els poemes d’aquest metge alacantí del segle XVI —concretament, al llibre Eclogae— dona lloc a una anàlisi interdisciplicar. A l’article es trobarà una aproximació als versos alhora lingüística i literària, però també botànica, bioclimàtica i geològica. Aquesta interpretació de l'obra de Gosalbes permet reconstruir el paisatge vegetal de la comarca de l’Alacantí del segle XVI.

This paper studies the phytonymy contained in the lyrical work in Latin by Josep Gosalbes de Cunedo. The linguistic analysis of the names of plants included in the poems by this 16th-century doctor from Alicante —particularly in the book Eclogae— results in an interdisciplinary analysis. This paper provides a both linguistic and literary approach to the verses, but also a botanical, bioclimatic and geological approach to them. This interpretation of Gosalbes’ work allows to reconstruct the vegetal landscape of the Alicante region in the 16th century.
