    Una de las pretensiones de este informe consiste en volver a colocar los aspectos biológicos en el sitio que les corresponde en el marco conceptual de lo que entendemos por naturaleza humana, resaltar su importancia y sugerir el tipo de metodologías que serán precisas para asignar a los factores tanto biológicos como sociales el puesto que les corresponde en la explicación de la conducta humana. Se da a entender que ninguna teoría de las diferencias individuales es viable si no está íntimamente vinculada a la concepción bio-social de la conducta humana, cuya motivación viene propiciada tanto por factores biológicos como sociales y culturales, y que muestran que las diferencias respecto a los demás de una especie, en términos de rasgos y aptitudes, están determinados genéticamente y socialmente. A manera de ejemplo, para ilustrar la hipótesis de partida se ha elegido el tema de las diferencias de sexo y genero.

    One of the objectives of this report is to relocate biological aspects in the place they belong to -within the conceptual framework of what we call human nature-; to highlight its importance and to suggest the type of methodologies that will be needed to assign to biological and social factors the place they belong to in the explanation of human behaviour. The article states that none of the theories of individual differences will be viable unless it is intimately connected to the bio/social conception of human behaviour, whose motivation is favoured both by biological factors and by cultural and social ones, and which shows that intraspecies differences, in terms of traits and aptitudes, are genetically and socially determined. To illustrate the inicial hyphothesis, the author selected the subject of sex and gender differences.
