Resum:	La resolución del Consejo de Estado de Francia, que comenta el autor, versa sobre la idoneidad de la matanza de tiburones como medida para evitar los ataques a seres humanos en la isla francesa de La Reunion. El Consejo de Estado pone en seria duda la efectividad de dicha actuación y considera que la única medida verdaderamente eficaz es garantizar la información de la población y el turismo sobre la existencia de una prohibición de entrar en el agua y del riesgo que corre quien la incumple.
Resum:	The resolution from the State Advisory Council in France, as the author comments, deals with the appropriateness of the killing of sharks as a manner of preventing attacks on human beings on the French Island of Réunion. The State Advisory Council illustrates the serious doubt about the effectiveness of this action and considers that the only truly effective manner is to guarantee information to the population and tourists about the ban on entering the water and the risk which comes with non-compliance of this ban.
