Abstract
The recognition of the right of the adopted children to maintain contacts or
relations with their families of origin and previous welcoming, represents a new model of
adoption in the Spanish law, which is called “open adoption” and has been recently
introduced by law 26/2015, of 28th July, that amends the Spanish protection system
childhood and adolescence. The new regulation is inspired by the law of other countries but
there are precedents in certain Spanish regional standards
