Hurbilpen bat Tolosaldeko gazteek hitanoari buruz duten pertzepzio, diskurtso eta praktikara

    The author has used a qualitative method to conduct the research explained in this article. Specifically, he used three observations and 12 interviews given by young adults between 18 and 28 to study the perceptions, discourse and practices of young adults in Tolosa on the use of the familiar "you" form in Basque. As the future of the familiar "you" form itself may be in danger, the author stresses the differences taking place in country villages and city streets and the changes in the social norms of use. On the basis of the concern created by that situation, he concludes that the future of the familiar "you" form will come from functionality.

Zehazki, 18 eta 28 urte bitarteko gazteen inguruko hiru behaketa eta 12 elkarrizketa baliatu ditu Tolosako gazteek hitanoari buruzko pertzepzioak, diskurtsoak eta praktikak azterketarako. Hitanoaren etorkizuna bera arriskuan egon daitekeela-eta, landa herrixketan eta hiriko kaletan gertatzen diren desberdintasunak edota erabilerarako arau sozialen aldaketa azpimarratzen du egileak. Egoera horrek sortzen duen kezkatik abiatuta ondorioztatzen du hitanoaren etorkizuna funtzionaltasunetik etorriko dela.
