Este trabajo analiza, en primer lugar, el significado del margen de apreciación otorgado a los Estados por la jurisprudencia de la Comisión y del Tribunal Europeo de Derechos Humanos. Además, examina los límites de las libertades de pensamiento, de conciencia y de religión. En tercer lugar, estudia la extensión del margen de apreciación en los diferentes derechos incluidos en el artículo 9 del Convenio Europeo de Derechos Humanos. Por último, contiene algunas conclusiones finales.
Firstly, this paper analyses the meaning of the margin of appreciation accorded to the States Members by the Commission and the European Court of Human Rights case law. Besides, it examines the limitations on freedom of thought, conscience, and religion. Thirdly, it studies the extent of the margin of appreciation on the several rights included in the article 9 of the European Convention on Human Rights. Finally, some concluding remarks are added
