La enseñanza de la lectura y la escritura ha sido una prioridad en todas las épocas puesto que estos procesos constituyen acciones lingüísticas,cognitivas y socioculturales que inciden en la apropiación de los conocimientos, permitiendo al sujeto en interacción significar, interpretar y comprender el mundo. Los usos sociales de la lectura y la escritura, el disfrute de la literatura y los usos técnicos se involucran en la vida personal y social de adolescentes mediante todo tipo de textos que ofrece la vida escolar y los medios. Lograr una lectura comprensiva e intertextual exige trabajo colectivo,reflexión sobre los usos del lenguaje, y el análisis del discurso, así como también concebir su enseñanza como procesos de interacción entre un lector, un texto y su contexto.

To teach reading and writing has been a priority in all epochs, since these processes constitute linguistic, cognitive and socio-cultural actions. Those actions impact the appropriation of the knowledge and allow the interlocutor to mean, to interpret and to understand the world. The socialc uses of reading and writing, the enjoyment of the literature and the use of technique are involved in the personal and social life of adolescents by the use of all type of texts offered by the school life and mass media. To achieve comprehension and intertextual reading, it is necessary a collective, a reflection about the uses of the language, and the analysis of discours, as well as to conceive their teaching like processes of interaction between a reader, a text and their context.
