Resumen de La narrativa de Concha Castroviejo

Entre las narradoras españolas de la primera posguerra permanecía en el olvido la escritora Concha Castroviejo, dedicada en sus últimos años a la crítica literaria. En este artículo se hace un repaso de sus aportaciones a la novela de su tiempo, que estuvieron marcadas por dos experiencias fundamentales, en las que se vio implicada la misma novelista: la Guerra Civil y los iniciales años de exilio, primero en Francia y luego en México. Su obra como narradora se completa con dos notables aportaciones a la literatura juvenil. Se da cuenta también en este trabajo de un texto inédito y tardío, entre ecologista y memorialista, con pasajes de atrayente prosa poética.

Among the Spanish female writers who had fallen into oblivion in the years following the Civil War, we come across Concha Castroviejo, who also wrote literary criticism in her last years. This article presents a review of her contributions to the novel of her times, which were influenced by two fundamental experiences in which the writer herself was involved: the Civil War and her early years of exile, first in France and later in Mexico. Her work as a narrator is fulfilled with two remarkable contributions to children and young adult literature. One of her later works, unpublished, present some paragraphs of attractive poetic prose. These masterpieces will also be included in the analysis of the present paper.
