Webquest: una alternativa para la enseñanza de química

    El objetivo del trabajo es desarrollar habilidades y actitudes para la investigación y producción de informes en alumnos ingresantes a la universidad, mediante el uso de WebQuest (WQ). La experiencia se realizó con una modalidad mixta (presencial y virtual), con clases de tutoría durante el estudio y elaboración del informe. Cada alumno tuvo un rol activo y el docente guió y propuso los recursos de información. Se logró motivación en el alumnado al relacionar química con biología y farmacia. Les interesó el uso de Internet con fuentes de información académicas y la WQ favoreció la organización del trabajo de grupo. Hubo dificultades para la selección de contenidos, el uso de simulaciones Web y el análisis de cuestiones prácticas. Los informes fueron mayormente buenos aunque con dificultades para organizarlo como una unidad de lectura. Los resultados mostraron que la WQ facilita la incorporación de Internet como herramienta educativa.

    The aim of the work is to develop abilities and attitudes for the investigation and production of reports in university students, by means of the use of WebQuest (WQ). The experience had a mixed modality (in person and on-line classes), with tutorial classes during the study and elaboration of the report. Each student had an active role and the teacher guided and suggested information resources. Motivation was achieved in the students when relating chemistry with biology and pharmacy. They were interested in using the Internet with academic information sources and the WQ favored the organization of the group work. Several difficulties were observed for the selection of contents, the use of Web simulations and practical questions analysis. The reports were mostly positive although with some difficulties to organize them as a reading unit. The results showed that WQ facilitates the incorporation of Internet as an educational tool.
