    En este trabajo se hace un exámen a la producción historiográfica que se ha realizado sobre tres personajes distinguidos del sur de México (actual estado de Guerrero) que participaron militar y políticamente en los procesos independentista y republicano. No sólo se cuantifica la obra histórica que los describe sino que se hace una valoración de sus alcances y su real aportación. Se percibe el desequilibrio de la producción en cuanto a cantidad y condición, tratando de identificar los anhelos intelectuales que la originaron. El artículo define que el grueso de esta producción mantiene un mismo soporte metodológico y apreciativo.

    In this work we examine the production of historiography which has been realized on three distinguished personages of the south of Mexico (present state of Guerrero) personages who participated military and politically in the independence and republican processes. Not only the historical work that describes them is quantified, but there is also a valuation of its reaches and their real contribution. It is presented the imbalance of the production as far as amount and condition, trying for identifying the intellectual yearnings that originated it. The article defines that the thickness of this production maintains the same methodological and appreciative support.

    Ce travail fait un examen de la production historiographique qui a été realisée sur trois personnages bien connus du sud du Mexique (l�état de Guerrero) lesquels avaient participé militairement et politiquement au cours des mouvements de l�indépendence et républicain. On ne quantifie que l�oeuvre historique qui les décrit, mais la valoration de leurs atteints et de sa réele contribution. On analyse le déséquilibre de la production quant à quantité et conditions, en essayant d�identifier les aspirations intellectuelles qui les avaient originées. L�article détermine que la plupart de cette production a un même support méthodologique et appréciatif.
