  • Resumen
    • There are numerous differences that separate Nietzsche and Artaud, as well as an undeniable kinship that links them together. This paper does not search for direct influence of ones work on the others, but nonetheless compares these two authors on the basis of the notion of thought as a cruel task that strips man of his illusions.

This comparison is developed firstly by pointing out to the thinkers shared characterization of life as cruelty and secondly by drawing a parallel between their conceptions of drama as depicted in The Birth of Tragedy and The Theater and Its Double. Ultimately, the main elements these thinkers have in common are their deconstructive approaches to language, subject, and body.
