Abstract
This paper seeks to explore Les possédés, the theatrical adaptation of F. Dostoievski's The Devils. First, I shall highlight the theatrical dimension
of the life and works of the Argelian-French writer. Then, I shall concentrate
on the profound links between Camus and the works of the Russian author
stressing the lucid and complex criticism of Les possédes against the devices
which attempt to legitimize and institutionalize violence in the polis, particularly in the critical moments when young people naively believe in revolution.
