Maele Guadalupe”eleMéricla-Badajoz El presente artículo pretende rendir homenaje a dos importantes pensado­ res de la filosofía medieval. Antonio Pérez-Estévez e Isidoro Guzmán Manzano dedicaron parte de su estudio al pensamiento de Juan Duns Escoto. Revisamos el concepto de libertad en el maestro franciscano a partir de los trabajos de estos dos escotistas, como excusa para hacer memoria de ellos. Desde perspectivas diferentes, pero complementarias, ambos filósofos recuperan la racionalidad de la libertad en Escoto desde la auto-determinación de la voluntad, respondiendo así a muchas interpretaciones simplistas o malintencionadas. This paper wants honoring two important thinkers of the medieval phi­ losophy. Antonio Perez-Estévez and Isidoro Guzman Manzano dedicated part of your study to John Duns Scotus’s thought. We check the concept of freedom in the Franciscan teacher from the works of these two scotists philosophers, as excuse to do memory of them. Both philosophers, from different but comple­ mentary perspectives, recover the rationality of the freedom in Escoto from the self-determination of the will.
