      A partir de la distinción de tres generaciones en la historia de la terapia de conducta, se describe la tercera, señalando en particular sus aportaciones. Entre las aportaciones de esta nueva generación figura la recuperación de las raíces contextuales de la terapia de conducta, las cuales habían sido abandonadas en la segunda generación, a la sazón dominada por la terapia cognitivo-conductual. Se enumeran las distintas terapias que componen esta tercera generación, con atención especial a la Terapia de Activación Conductual.

      Starting from the distinction of three generations in the history of behavior therapy, the third one is described by indicating its contributions. Aznong the contributions of this new generation stands out the recovery of the contextual roots in behavior therapy These roots had been neglected in the second generation, where the cogniti vebehavioral therapy prevailed. The different therapies composing this third generation are listed, paying special attention to the Behavioral Activation Therapy.
