Últimos hallazgos y nuevas interpretaciones del arte mueble paleolítico en el occidente asturiano

    En este trabajo se analizan los últimos resultados obtenidos en la investigación del arte mueble paleolítico en el occidente de la Cornisa Cantábrica. La valoración del complejo auriñaco-perigordiense y la regionalización de las industrias cantábricas, perceptible a partir del Solutrense, constituyen novedades importantes, a la vez que documentan la existencia de un horizonte artístico -parietal y mobiliar- original. Por otra parte, el hallazgo de nuevos niveles, atribuidos al Magdaleniense inferior, arroja nuevos argumentos para explicar la explosión artística mobiliar que se produce en la región durante el magdaleniense medio. El Magdaleniense superior-final también se encuentra ampliamente representado en los yacimientos de la región con una extensa documentación mobiliar.

    This paper analyses the latest achievements obtained by the Palaeolithic Portable Art research in the Western Cantabrian Comise. The assessment of the Aurignaco-Perigordian complex and Ihe regionalization of the cantabric industries, noticeabie from the Solutrean period onwards, are important innovations. At the sanie time, these finds establish the existence of an original parietal and portable art horizon. On tIre other hand, tIre discovering of new levels altributed to the Lower Magdaienian period provides new evidence lo explain tIre explosion of portable art in the region during tIre middle Magdalenian. TIre final-upper Magdalenian is also widely represented in tIre region sites with an extensive collection of portable art
